Folksy Friday - A little crochet

I love the retro look of these Folksy finds!

Crochet bag by the sunroom bag by Eva B Designs

This crochet satchel by The Sunroom reminds me of some great summer sunsets and the crochet handbag by Eva B Designs is so pretty and practical!

top by Blue Fish Handmade table ware by Marti Rich creations

This top (made to order by Blue Fish Handmade) is a great summer colour, I think, and the table ware by Marti Rich Creations has a lovely traditional feel.

crochet bouquet by Chez Penny scarf by Victoria Jackman

Proving that crochet goes beyond the traditional is this great bouquet arrangement by Chez Penny and I couldn't miss out this spectacular scarf by Victoria Jackman in the most amazing colours!

I wish I could crochet but my stitches were always too tight or too slack...

Which is your favourite?

BESTeam weekly feature Dandee on Etsy

This week I'm featuring Dandee - a great Etsy shop for humourous cards and lots of other items like light switch covers and tea towels. These cards and messages will really crack you up - there are some cheeky ones you could send to really good friends, but they are all guaranteed to put a smile on someone's face.

Dandee has been going for 12 years and always has recycling and upcycling in mind which is great to know.

Here are a few of my favourites.  Click on each picture to be taken to the store:

See what I mean? The 'Love you more than ...' card is great if you're a Little Britain fan too!

Dandee also does a range of light switch covers which will get you humming some classic pop tunes from the Beatles to Blondie!

The great news in this store is that soon all the cards will be 100% recycled, so you can send them guilt-free, knowing that the planet hasn't been hurt! And if you have an idea for a card you want to see created, that can be done too.

Visit Dandee's lovely blog, or follow on Twitter too.

BESTeam weekly feature: Keiglass on Etsy

Promoting the BESTeam Etsy shops

Tuscon red glass pendant Austin green and orange glass pendant
Inverness glass pendant Conifer green glass pendant
Durango blue glass pendant Avon glass pendant

This little rainbow selection comes from Keiglass - click on each picture to find out more. Keiglass is Kat, who makes beautiful dichroic glass jewellery and object d’art and is based in Denver, Colorado. Having started out producing beautiful pendants and earrings in a range of lovely jewel colours, Kat is now branching out into a wider range of glass objects, starting with zipper pulls and windchimes. So watch this space for lots more craft-related home ideas from this shop.

This Venice glass pendant really caught my eye with its bold blue and greens and its translucent qualities

it would make anyone want to be on the Grand Canal!

Each object tells a story, with the pendants named after some of the beautiful places that Kat has visited. It’s great to have a piece of jewellery that’s a reminder of somewhere, isn’t it? Inspired by places like Rome, Athens, Tokyo and Sydney, they really conjure up some of the colours and flavours of those cities.

I also love this sunrise set – the reds, pinks and oranges are so cheerful and life-affirming and the glass pieces are really glowing

All pieces are one of a kind and Keiglass also accept custom orders, so you’ll probably never meet anyone with an identical pendant, earrings or home accessory.

Kat also shares another of my passions – dogs – so I just had to include a pic of the lovely pooches! Here they are relaxing:
